Those 2 are free from July 1st. They've done it to try and save face for the mess and tragedy that was the XboxTivo launch. Its good for us, we get free games, but those with any sense will see this for what it really is. A bribe, and a poor one at that.

I downloaded fable 3 last night, booted it up and it won't get past the initial loading screen, it hasn't frozen as the little chicken in the circle is still revolving. I've deleted and downloaded again to the same effect. Any ideas guys?

So there you have it the freebies are ONLY for the rest of this year, thus confirming my previous suspitions that Microsoft think we are stupid and that they can buy our loyalty by temporarily copying Sony's permanent idea.

Defence Grid is free for 15 days, a tower defence game for Xbox live arcade, after playing it shortly it's quite enjoyable requiring intelligence and skill, providing tense action as you prey for your defence towers to do more damage while listening to your funny AI mentor who sounds like Patrick Stewart. It's not Halo 3 but o well we will continue to laugh, play, frolic and kill each other

That one is definately worth a look. Not sure on thar defence grid seems like an Indie title, always found those to be quite lame. But hey whatever floats your boat.

Next 2 freebies are Crackdown and Dead Rising 2,rumours from a Polish gaming site suggest crackdown is first.
I remember spending many happy, fun hours on Crackdown looking for those damn Orbs. Can't remember multiplayer as I wasn't really into that side of games then.
